She later continued her studies at Columbia University, earning a Master’s in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Spirituality, Mind, and Body. Alongside her academic training, Marta deepened her work in spiritual healing and the principles of family constellation work, integrating psychological insight with systemic and ancestral approaches to transformation.
Since 2014, Marta has been devoted to the ancient path of plant medicine, studying with Indigenous traditions in Peru and Brazil. This journey, together with her ongoing study of Advaita Vedanta, forms the foundation of her work—supporting others through retreats and integration practices that guide individuals toward deep healing, Self-knowledge, and alignment with the natural world.
In 2023, during a Sacred Ceremony in Brazil, Marta experienced a profound spiritual opening when she witnessed a prayer offered by Jonas Masetti. Without any prior knowledge of him, she received a clear inner guidance that this was the teacher she had been seeking.
Acharya Jonas carries the lineage of Advaita Vedanta as transmitted by Swami Dayananda Saraswati. This moment marked the beginning of a devoted path of study and collaboration.
The following year, Marta organized a retreat with Acharya Jonas in the United States. Since then, she has been supporting his work in the U.S. while continuing to deepen her study of Vedanta and the practices that guide the unfolding of Self-knowledge.
Since 1987, Rev. Penny Donovan has channeled and shared wisdom from a wide range of spiritual traditions, including Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Taoist, and Druidic lineages.
In 2013, Sacred Garden Fellowship became Marta’s spiritual home. From her very first retreat, she began a continuous journey of study with the community, deepening her understanding of spirituality. The teachings and healings of Sacred Garden have opened her heart and mind to fully embrace the Divine within.
In 2018, Marta was ordained as a Minister of Spiritual Energy Healing by Rev. Miriam Penny Donovan through the Church of Sacred Healing.
In 2016, Marta returned to school to earn her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in Spirituality, Mind, Body at Teachers College, Columbia University. It was during this time that she met her teacher, Ron Young, whose wisdom and guidance profoundly shaped her path as a healer.
Under Ron’s mentorship, Marta dedicated herself to full-time training, engaging in hands-on spiritual healing and spiritual Constellations for hundreds of clients with serious illnesses and complex life challenges. These transformative experiences allowed her to witness the deep, life-changing effects of spiritual healing, both for herself and those she worked with. Marta continues to study with Ron, whom she considers to be her root teacher.
In 2016, Marta encountered Mata Amritanandamayi, affectionately known as Amma, the hugging saint. Deeply moved by the profound healing she received in Amma’s presence, Marta traveled to her ashram in India to more fully immerse herself in the atmosphere of unconditional love and divine grace that surrounds Amma. It was there that Marta experienced a spontaneous spiritual opening—an expansion of her awareness of the Sacred Forces within. This awakening marked a pivotal moment in her journey, and since then, she has remained devoted to living in alignment with Amma’s teachings of compassion, service, and surrender.
